It covers a list of procedures the medical aid excludes such as functional nasal surgery , back and neck treatment or surgery, Joint replacements, hernia repairs and cochlear implants to mention but a few. There is an entry level plan called Gap that does not include cancer, co payment or sub limit cover. Western Gap/Kaelo are one of the longest running gap cover providers in the market. Their waiting periods for 2018 are a bit more relaxed than most. They do cover PMBs and cater for spouses across medical aid options.Their age categorisation only kicks in from 71 yrs +. This may suit potential applicants between the age of 64 and 71 yrs of age who may look to avoid the 65 year+ bracket on other suppliers.
